Schema.org is the standard vocabulary to structure data for Google — embedded as JSON-LD in <head>, feeds rich snippets and AI answers.
Common schemas: Article (posts), Product (e-commerce), FAQPage (FAQ → SERP expansion), BreadcrumbList, Organization, SoftwareApplication, HowTo. Each expands search results differently.
